My Top 5 from day 1 of the Problogger writing competition are:
- My Top 5 favourite WordPress tools: coming from a fellow WordPress fan, this is good advice. I am looking into Mint for stats now myself.
- 5 Superhuman powers I would like to have: My comment on this posting was “I wonder how many nerdly types spend time nearly every single day discussing just this topic - I know my friends and I (mostly 30-40-something consultants) do :)” - it is well worth a read.
- The Top 5 reasons to join a blog network has me thinking - the sex appeal of free traffic may be too hard to pass up
- Top 5 Blogs That Explain How We Think… is good - it looks at thinking about thinking, and I am a big fan of meta-thinking.
- Top 5 tips to be the next Darren Rowse is worth reading - I especially like the advice on not being selfish.
This is quite a good contest - I am glad I entered it, I’ve met a lot of other bloggers through it, and had lots of traffic through as a result.

hi Andrew, glad you liked my ‘top 5 blogs that explain how we think’ - thanks for including me in your top 5 for day 1. The contest sure is fun but it’s getting tough trying to read all the posts…
Hi Liz,
you are most welcome
Thanks for writing it.
I’ve found it hard to make time to read all the posts as well. The good thing is that I’ve found it easy to find five posts that I have no trouble recommending from each daily batch. There is a lot of talent out there - it is inspiring
Best regards, Andrew
