Hi Andrew,

Congrats - it's evident you are very talented at this community building thing...

Thanks for passing it on - and for the encouragement & kind words! Given my infrequent writing lately, I feel a bit like an impostor... but I'm trying to pick up the blogging pace a bit over on UngeekIt when I can fit it in and have something worthwhile to say. :)

Take care,

Jeri

Hi Meg and Cellobella,

thank you for yur comments on the analogy. I like analogies, they make storytelling fun, and storytelling is a great way to transfer information.

Helen and I are packing to move - we picked up the keys to the new townhouse yesterday and drove over to it. The next door neighbours appeared as if by magic and introduced themselves, and pointed out who lived where so that we would have an easier time introducing ourselves when we moved in (removalists taking the bulk of the stuff tomorrow). The village/street/town community analogy was very front-of-mind then - and I'm glad it works for you too :)

Best regards, Andrew

Hi Meg,

thank you for your comment and thank you once again for the award. Both are very much appreciated, as is your continuing support.

I think that the key to community is participation - a town is just a collection of houses unless the people participate in the community. The blogosphere is the same.

Best regards, Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for passing the award forward (and backward!). I think it's a great initiative and was really pleased for the opportunity to thank you and others. You pay so much attention to every comment you receive, and I think that really helps foster the community spirit :)

Hi Donna,

thank you for your comment, and for your support. Without the help of friends like you, it would not be possible to sustain this crazy workload and get the odd blog post in as well :)

Best regards, Andrew
