Autoblogging with WP-o-matic revisited

I’m fascinated with the concept of autoblogging - blogs that take content from somewhere else. The content source is usually one or more RSS feeds, but meta-aggregators like Yahoo Pipes make any site a potential source. This raises issues for bloggers who have found themselves a target for content theft.

The guys at Chimp-Simple Publishing linked to my article on the WP-o-Matic plugin to let their readers know that there is a new version of the plugin.

I tried the new version at After Big Brother and it looks like there may still be some problems. It complained about missing database tables and wouldn’t allow me to access the dashboard properly, so I deleted the subdirectory containing the plugin via FTP to remove it.

I guess I’ll try the next release :)
