The Cult of John Chow

The frenzy over John Chow is certainly growing. People are prepared to do almost anything to get a mention on his blog - recent examples include:

And that list is just for the month of July, so far. How long will it be until people are naming their babies after him for links? Or getting his face tattooed on their bodies? Does this make him the Dalai Lama of the blogosphere, or the Paris Hilton?

    I’d say both your chances would be pretty good… if you were willing to fork out the cash. Whether it’s worth it or not is another matter entirely.

    I think Lucia’s article shows that the John Chow Effect is really the kiss of death - so no, not worth it at any price :)
