A lot of other blogs have a “what’s hot this week” top 5 links article… because I’ve been afterworking a lot lately, there hasn’t been as much time as I’d like for blogging - but these are the articles that have caught my interest in the time that I’ve had to read, they are worth looking up:
- Darren Rowse writes on the “buy me a beer” donation plugin and similar. I use “buy me a beer” on a couple of my blogs - the plan was to eventually replace AdSense, but now I am rethinking it as a strategy.
- I learnt about “Buy me a beer” through an article by John Chow.
- Yaro Starak is giving away an ebook on making money with blogging called the Blog Profits Blueprint. It is informative and useful stuff. John Chow is also giving an ebook away on blogging - when I get to reading it I will review it here.
- Zern Liew put some graphs together to illustrate how Australians work too much. Aussies, we’re supposed to be slackers, but we work more unpaid overtime than just about anybody, which got me thinking about Karoshi, death by overwork.
- eMom extraordinairre Wendy Piersall coordinated a group research project with her readers - together they came up with 26 Internet Marketing How-To’s for every experience level. Thanks Wendy - this is going to help a lot of people, including me
It’s not just about filling in the posting schedule and sharing the link love - some of my best new blog finds have come through hot links articles like this one. Does anyone think that they are a bad idea?
