The solution to popularity: Post less?

In Blogging: periodicity vs popularity I looked at the Technorati top 100 blog list and thought about the correlation between frequent posting and popularity. I’d thought that posting daily was the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything.

According to Tim Ferris, it isn’t. Tim recommends posting every 4-6 days, long enough for comments to build up. Wierd. I’m not sure that I can wait that long myself :) What I have done to try and slow myself down a bit is to buy a Nintendo Wii (and hey, it is my birthday soon anyhow!) and to start some topic-centric blogs (apropos the Wii, Wiild Life) to spread my blather over a wider area. So I can still post once or twice a day, but in different blogs. I’ll give it a go and report on progress back here.

UPDATE: I’ve decomissioned Wiild Life (running on blogger) and am now running a self-hosted WordPress blog - Facibus OnWii.
